At The Summit you can choose your fitness path from all we have to offer, including a full complement of exercise equipment, knowledgeable personal trainers, unlimited group fitness classes, and the innovative Fitness Concierge service which bridges the gap between the traditional gym experience and online and app-based fitness coaching.

We offer several membership options – all month-to-month. No long-term contracts, no initiation fees, no cancellation fees, no "deposits" or other hidden charges. Just fitness – your way.

About The Summit

The Summit is a 2-level, 11,000 square foot full spectrum fitness facility located in the heart of downtown Lawrence. Explore our amenities:

Main Floor
A full complement of cardio machines including treadmills, stairclimbers, ellipticals and stationary bikes. Over 20 selectorized weight machines to safely strengthen your body from every angle. Multiple free weight stations.

Group Fitness Room
A sunlit, open space to enjoy one of our many fitness classes

Personal Training Studio
A fully-equipped space for the exclusive use of our personal training clients

The Dungeon
A powerlifter's playground powered by Sorinex, the leading provider to major college and pro sports teams, including over 90% of the NFL

Outdoor Patio

Climbing Wall & Silks

Membership at The Summit

We offer several membership options starting at just $39. All Summit memberships are month-to-month. No long-term commitments, no bogus fees, no pressure. And, if you pay for a year in advance, you get 2 months free!

Injured? Traveling? Just too busy and need to take a pause? No problem. We don’t charge you a fee to put your membership on hold.

Simply put, we don’t charge for customer service. It is our privilege to deliver it.

Personal Training at The Summit

Our personal trainers are some of the best in the business. We only hire the most qualified candidates after a rigorous selection process. All our trainers are nationally certified and undergo our own continuing education program to make sure you are getting the very best guidance.

Choose from individualized one-on-one sessions to online coaching to our innovative Fitness Concierge program that bridges the gap between both.

Personal Training, the Summit Way

Your training experience starts with a free consultation with one of our knowledgeable trainers to understand your goals, your health history and your exercise experience.

From there, your trainer will take you through a Functional Movement Screening to diagnose existing or potential problems or limitations.

Your trainer will then formulate a custom training program specifically for you based on the very latest advances in exercise science. You and your trainer will set a schedule designed to accomplish your goals without the risk of injury or overtraining.
